A house for
the last hour.
Southern Attire is a small atelier outside Atlanta, in Dallas, Georgia. We make evening wear for women who arrive late, stay long, and would rather be remembered than noticed.
Founded by Adaline BoudreauxWe started with a simple complaint: the clothes made for evening are either disposable or unwearable. Ours are neither.
Everything begins at a paper pattern on a long wooden table. We cut in runs of forty — enough to make the work worth doing properly, few enough that every seam passes through the same six pairs of hands.
There is no seasonal calendar here, no trend brief, no factory floor. There is a ledger with sequence numbers, a shelf of crepe and sequin, and a rule that nothing leaves the building until it hangs correctly on a real body, not a form.
If you buy one of forty, we know which one it was. That is the whole proposition.
“We don’t dress women for the party. We dress them for the walk to the car at one in the morning.”Adaline Boudreaux — Founder & Creative Director

Where it happens
Come and stand
on the little platform.
Fittings are by appointment, Tuesday to Saturday. Bring the shoes you intend to wear. We will pin, chalk, and argue gently about hem length until it is right.
